Backstory

Brenn was once a skilled tracker and scout for the Silver Circle, until a dragon-hunting expedition went catastrophically wrong. He was the sole survivor, bearing scars—both physical and psychological—from that encounter. For years he lived as a recluse in the borderlands, convinced that no mortal force could stand against draconic might. But when the Draconic Covenant's corruption spread to his homeland and claimed the lives of innocents he'd sworn to protect, Brenn's despair transformed into grim resolve. He has rejoined the fight not with optimism, but with the hard-won knowledge that the dragons can bleed, and that sometimes survival itself is a form of resistance.
