Privacy Policy

Neverend ("we", "our", "us") operates the Neverend mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and retain information, and the rights you have over your data.

Data We Collect

Account. When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier and, if you share them, your name and email. We never see or store your Apple ID password.

Profile. A display name associated with your account.

Gameplay. Sessions, characters, choices, inputs, and narrative content generated during play, tied to your account.

Purchases. Apple processes payment. We receive a transaction identifier and purchase confirmation. We do not see your payment method.

Support requests. If you submit a support form, we store the name, email, and message you provide.

Diagnostics and analytics. App events, session duration, device model, OS version, and crash reports. We do not collect precise location, contacts, or browsing history.

How We Use Data

  • To operate the service and save your progress.
  • To process purchases.
  • To detect and enforce against abuse or Terms of Use violations.
  • To diagnose crashes and improve reliability.
  • To send service-related notices. We do not send marketing email.
  • Shared Sessions

    If you join a shared gameplay session with other users, the following becomes visible to every other participant in that session:

  • Your display name.
  • The character you choose.
  • Your in-session choices, text inputs, and contributions to the shared narrative.
  • Your online/offline status within the session.
  • Do not share anything in a shared session that you are not comfortable making visible to the other participants.

    AI Processing

    Narrative content is generated by third-party AI providers in real time. To generate a response, we send these providers your in-session choices and inputs, the conversation history of the current session, and the adventure and character context. We do not send your name, email, or Apple identifier. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data to train their models.

    Content Moderation

    Your inputs and the AI outputs generated for you are automatically screened for policy violations. We log moderation events — including the triggering content, category, and score — to enforce our Terms of Use, prevent abuse, and comply with platform rules. We may act on these logs to restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts.

    Third Parties We Share Data With

    We do not sell your personal information. We share data with:

  • Supabase — authentication, database, storage, and realtime infrastructure.
  • Apple — authentication and in-app purchase processing.
  • RevenueCat — purchase and subscription management.
  • Mixpanel — product analytics, keyed to a pseudonymous account identifier.
  • Luciq — crash reporting and diagnostic logs.
  • AI providers — real-time narrative generation, as described above.
  • These providers act as processors under our instructions and are contractually restricted in how they may use your data.

    Data Retention

  • Account and gameplay data are deleted when you delete your account, typically within 30 days, and purged from routine backups within 90 days.
  • Purchase and transaction records may be retained longer where required for accounting, tax, or legal obligations.
  • Moderation logs may be retained in anonymized form after account deletion to support abuse prevention.
  • Security

    We use TLS encryption in transit, secure authentication tokens, and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    International Transfers

    Our backend and third-party processors may store and process data in the United States or the European Union. By using the App you consent to this transfer.

    Your Rights

    Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

    EEA and UK users. Our legal basis for processing is your consent (where required), the performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the App.

    California users. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA. You may exercise your access and deletion rights as described here.

    To exercise any right, delete your account from the in-app menu or contact us via the support page below.

    Children

    The App is not directed at, and is not intended for, individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

    Breach Notification

    If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities in accordance with applicable law.

    Changes

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
