Fred Martin

Backstory

Fred Martin was a mid-level systems analyst in the City Council's infrastructure division until he discovered falsified environmental reports—proof that the surface is far more habitable than the public has been told. When he tried to escalate the findings through proper channels, his access was revoked and his apartment flagged for surveillance. Now he moves between lower-tier safe houses, gathering evidence while staying ahead of Council security. He's not ideologically aligned with the Depth Collective, but he's begun to understand why they believe the city must fall. Fred is methodical, cautious, and haunted by the knowledge that millions are being kept in the dark about their own survival options.
