Backstory

Iri hatched from a forbidden union between a Skyward Dominion dragon and an Obsidian Deep dragon, a pairing that violated ancient territorial law. Hidden in remote mountain sanctuaries for decades, Iri was raised by scholars and exiles who taught that dragons need not be bound by clan hatred. When the Conclave's eldest vanished, Iri emerged from obscurity—the only dragon without a clan loyalty, the only one both sides might trust. Yet Iri's very existence is a secret that could ignite the war it seeks to prevent. Now, with the balance shattered and factions circling, Iri must navigate impossible politics, ancient ruins, and the growing suspicion that the Conclave's disappearance was no accident.
