Backstory

Luke is a pragmatic software engineer who values logic and dismisses superstition. He lives alone in the suburban home where Cuddl arrives, recently divorced and still adjusting to solitude. When the bear first appears, Luke assumes it's a prank or mistake—something rational to be solved through investigation and evidence. His skepticism becomes both his shield and his weakness; he resists admitting something supernatural is occurring, even as the bear's movements defy explanation. By the time fear breaks through his denial, exhaustion and doubt have already begun to crack his mind.
