Backstory

Ryana was once part of an elite deep-sea research team sponsored by the Harbor Authority, until their submersible was sabotaged during an expedition to the Shrouded Deeps two years ago—the same night the Leviathan went down. She was the only survivor, pulled from the wreckage with severe injuries and partial memory loss. The Authority denied responsibility and buried the incident. To cope, Ryana retrofitted her body with salvage-grade neural implants and pressure-resistant augmentations, transforming herself into something more machine than woman. Now she takes solo contracts that others won't touch, driven by an obsessive need to uncover what really happened that night. The Leviathan's wreck represents her last chance at answers—and perhaps the truth about who sabotaged her team.
