Backstory

Aldric was once a healer in the temple of Solmarch, until plague ravaged his order and killed everyone he swore to protect. Haunted by his failure, he turned to mercenary work to fund his obsessive search for a cure—any cure. When rumors of the Codex of Karthax surfaced, he saw redemption. He joined the Thornhearth Consortium's expedition not for gold, but for a second chance to save lives. His faith has grown brittle, replaced by grim determination and a willingness to walk through darkness if it means bringing light back to the dying.
