Backstory

Before the silence, Alicia was a data systems engineer at a biotech firm—someone who understood networks, infrastructure, and the fragile threads holding civilization together. When the pulse hit, she was visiting her sister in the Midwest and got stranded. For three years, she's leveraged her technical knowledge to survive, first as a salvager, then as an informal advisor to the Archive's leadership. She's methodical, resourceful, and driven by a conviction that understanding what happened is the only way forward. But she's also haunted: she suspects the pulse was preventable, and that knowledge—or its suppression—could either save or destroy what remains.
