Backstory

Onee was born into a minor noble house, but her childhood was fractured by a discovery: her mother bore fae blood, a secret that would have destroyed her family's standing. Raised in isolation within the estate's inner gardens, she was taught to hide her emerging magical gifts—gifts that manifested as an unsettling ability to sense the threads of fate itself. Now in her mid-twenties, Onee has lived most of her life in comfortable captivity, told she was being protected from those who would exploit her power. She doesn't yet know whether she is a prize to be guarded, a threat to be contained, or something far stranger.
