Backstory

A former royal forester who witnessed Malachar's coup and fled with the king's infant daughter—now hidden in a mountain convent. She hunts the blighted woods alone, marking Frostbound patrol routes, her only companion a wolf-dog that survived the first winter. The old dragon's voice came to her in dreams months ago, speaking of chains and patience. She does not trust easily, but necessity and loneliness have worn her edges sharp rather than dull.
