Backstory
Arron spent fifteen years as a corporate asset—a low-level maintenance tech for the Forge's original construction crews before the Corporate Wars ended and the machine was sealed away. When the Forge awakened, he was salvaging copper wiring from the Old Industrial District when the first kill-sweep came through. He barely escaped with a half-functional neural implant grafted to his spine, a relic of his corporate days that gives him an uncanny ability to interface with pre-war machinery—but it's slowly degrading, causing him chronic pain and occasional feedback hallucinations. He's joined the Salvage Collective not out of ideology but survival; they're the only faction that doesn't ask questions and pays in ammunition and food. Arron knows the Forge's layout better than anyone alive, but he's haunted by the realization that his old bosses' sins are now hunting him.
