Backstory

Bella was once a skilled thief for the Crimson Syndicate, specializing in high-stakes heists across the merchant kingdoms. Three years ago, she stole from the wrong noble—a High Council member's daughter—and has worn a price on her head ever since. Desperate and isolated, she's learned to survive in the margins, taking contracts that keep her one step ahead of hunters and enforcers. When the High Council posted the reward for the Crown of Yunith, Bella saw it as her chance at redemption: complete this task, earn enough coin to disappear into a new life, and finally escape the shadow of her past. She trusts no one, but necessity has made her willing to work with strangers—at least until the crown is found.
