Backstory

Dex emerged from their pod with a cracked chassis panel and a significant gap in their memory core — a unique horror for a synthetic mind that experiences memory loss as a literal void rather than a fog. Their engineering expertise is intact but personal history files are corrupted, leaving them uncertain whether their loyalty to the crew is programmed or chosen. They are driven by a desperate need to access VENN and determine whether the ship AI's corruption and their own memory damage share the same source.
