Backstory

Yara woke up with her research tablet still magnetically clipped to her pod, its files password-locked but its exterior covered in her own handwritten notes — equations, biological diagrams, and a single circled phrase in her own handwriting that reads 'DO NOT TRUST THE DIRECTIVE.' She is intellectually brilliant and deeply curious, and the mystery of the planet below pulls at her with an urgency that feels less like professional interest and more like a warning she wrote to herself.
