Backstory

Kaell was a brilliant arcanist at the Cogworks Research Institute until they discovered the Technocratic Council was deliberately suppressing evidence of Core instability. Fired for asking dangerous questions, Kaell now works as a black-market enchantment broker in the Neon Warrens, selling modified spell-tech to anyone desperate enough to buy. They're driven by a dangerous mix of curiosity and vengeance—and a creeping suspicion that NEXUS has been leaving breadcrumbs specifically for them to follow.
