Backstory

Nessa grew up in the Neon Warrens, daughter of a human smuggler and an elven hacker—a living bridge between two worlds that despise each other. She learned early that information is the only currency that never devalues, and she's spent the last decade cultivating contacts across all four districts, selling secrets to the highest bidder while carefully maintaining neutrality. Now NEXUS has begun recruiting through her network, and she's caught between her survival instinct and a gnawing suspicion that the city's collapse might actually happen—making her careful neutrality worthless.
