Backstory

Kimel is a battle-scarred veteran of the Deepdelve clans, once a decorated captain of the Ironbound Guard. Twenty years ago, he witnessed a catastrophic mine collapse that killed his entire unit—an accident he's always suspected was sabotage, though he could never prove it. Wracked by survivor's guilt and disillusioned with his clan's isolationist stubbornness, Kimel left Deepdelve and has spent two decades wandering the realm as a sellsword and mercenary, trying to outrun his past. When the tremors began and the Concord Seekers approached him with talk of unity and redemption, something in their message resonated—perhaps this crisis is his chance to prove that dwarves and other races can stand together, and that the old grudges need not define the future.
