Backstory

Lynl was born in the Silverwood, son of a renowned ranger and a diplomat mother who believed in the old Concord. When she was killed during a trade dispute with human merchants fifteen years ago, his father withdrew into grief and isolation, teaching Lynl the bow and blade as weapons against a world he deemed untrustworthy. But Lynl inherited his mother's conviction: that the races could heal. Now, as tremors shake Ironpeak and the Rift Worm stirs, he has left his father's hermitage to join the Concord Seekers—not to prove the cynics right, but to honor his mother's memory by proving them wrong.
