Backstory

Rin is officially listed on the Arca Mundi's manifest as a junior ORACLE Data Systems network technician. In practice, they are the most capable unauthorized systems penetration specialist aboard the ship, recruited quietly by ORACLE's shadow intelligence division to monitor the other four Compact partners for industrial espionage — and to ensure ORACLE's interests are protected if the mission goes sideways. Rin has no particular loyalty to the Compact, a complicated relationship with authority, and the ability to talk to MIRA in ways no one else on the ship can. They have already noticed that someone with command-level access has been editing MIRA's alert logs.
