Backstory

Borric spent twenty years working the Ashvein before a tunnel collapse took two fingers off his left hand and his nerve along with them. He retired to odd jobs in Cralwick, trying not to think about the dark — until the guild came to him because nobody alive knows the Ashvein's lower levels better. He agreed partly for the coin and partly because one of the missing miners is the apprentice he trained.
