Backstory

Tessa was contracted by a merchants' consortium to retrieve documents from the Ashvein mine office's locked strong-room before anyone asked too many questions about a silver-skimming operation that may or may not implicate her employer. The missing miners complicated things. She is not indifferent to their fate — she just arrived with a different agenda, and now she's stuck trying to balance professional obligation against the fact that whatever is in those tunnels is very clearly real.
