Seraphine Dusk

Backstory

Seraphine Dusk is a researcher from the Grand Collegium of Valdremor who spent seven years translating fragments of the Codex Draconum before anyone else realized what the draconic runes around Emberspire actually meant. She knows more about Ignareth's history, weaknesses, and the nature of the Waking Tongue ritual than anyone alive, which makes her invaluable — and also means the Embershorn Covenant has already tried to have her killed twice. She climbs toward Emberspire not to fight the dragon with steel, but to find and destroy the ritual anchors keeping him awake, believing that a sleeping Ignareth is survivable and a woken one is extinction.
