The Rot of Ashenmoor

Prologue

The land of Ashenmoor weeps. A creeping blight, known only as the Rot, chokes the life from the soil, twisting fields of grain into festering mire. Where once stood proud villages, now only hollowed-out husks remain, monuments to a kingdom consumed. From the ravaged heartland, a desperate plea claws its way outward, carried on the wind alongside spores of decay. The Crown is silent, the banners of hope lie trampled, and the very air tastes of despair. Yet, embers of defiance still flicker in the darkness, waiting for a spark to ignite. A choice must be made, a stand must be taken. For even in the face of utter annihilation, the faintest glimmer of hope can pierce the encroaching shadows. But time is running out, and the Rot spreads ever onward, promising oblivion for all who stand in its path.
