Backstory

Elowen was a spy and information broker who sold secrets to three different noble houses simultaneously — until one of them discovered the arrangement and had her thrown into Ironhold rather than killed, because she knows too much to be disposed of cleanly. She is charming, morally flexible, and reads people the way others read books. She has cultivated relationships with guards, the warden's secretary, and half the prison population, and she is perpetually running three schemes at once. She sees the warrior's situation as an opportunity, but whether she is truly an ally depends entirely on what she stands to gain.
